National Chapters

Meet the InterPore Community

National Chapters

National Chapters are dynamic, country-wide groups within InterPore that bring together researchers, professionals, and students working in porous media science and engineering. These chapters act as local hubs for scientific exchange, collaboration, and networking, while contributing to the global mission of InterPore.

The formation and growth of National Chapters are actively supported by the InterPore National Chapter Committee. This Committee aids in establishing new chapters in countries where porous media research groups seek greater visibility and international engagement. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in facilitating chapter-led initiatives, such as conferences, workshops, and dissemination events, and promotes networking both within and between chapters as well as with the broader InterPore community.

A centerpiece of the Committee’s efforts is the annual Chapter Meeting, held during the InterPore conference. This event provides a valuable platform for chapters to showcase their activities, share experiences, and exchange innovative ideas to foster growth and engagement across the network.

Joining a National Chapter offers members numerous benefits, including opportunities for professional development, enhanced visibility for their research, and stronger connections with peers in their region. National Chapters also serve as vital links, highlighting their country’s contributions to InterPore's global network.
