  3. Use our Newsletter as a continuous publication channel for:
    • Announcements of conferences, workshops, etc.
    • Job postings
    • Community news

These services and how to use them are described in detail below.

1. Self-Introduction

You could, with our support, sketch a small (1-page on A4) introduction of who you are, what research you are doing, why you joined InterPore, what you would like to do there, what things you are looking for.

In case you wish to use this service, there is a list of simple steps:

  1. You can freely choose when to submit and schedule the text for publication.
  2. All you need to do is to send a 1-page raw-text draft, e.g., in DOC or DOCX format.
  3. Based on the draft, we will prepare the final layout in HTML.
  4. We will send you the final layout for proofreading and iteration.

A draft text format template will be provided to you by the Newsletter team (newsletter@interpore.org).

For examples of self-introduction text submitted by other institutional members in the past, please see:

2. Research Spotlights

If you wish to share your research with the InterPore community and other recipients of the Newsletter, you could generate (with our help) a so-called research spotlight. This format has a length of typically two pages in standard layout, with a maximum of 4 pages. It focuses on your research, telling the Society members for what kind of collaboration, expertise, etc. they could contact you.

In case you wish to use this service, please simply follow the same steps as for the introductory text (see above). A draft text format template will be provided to you by the NewsLetter team (newsletter@interpore.org). The associate editor responsible for Research Spotlights is Dr. Robin Zhao (robinzhao@mcmaster.ca).

3. Announcements and News

At any time, you may send us your workshop or conference announcements, job postings, community news or updates about your research, and we will publish it in the newsletter (which appears bi-weekly). Whenever you wish to use this service, simply send your material (in a raw format) to newsletter@interpore.org.

Job postings can be also put on our Careers & Job Postings page. This service is available to InterPore members only. But, everyone can see the posted jobs.
