Time Capsule
We often recognize the pioneers of our field through their scientific contributions—their groundbreaking research and technical achievements. However, we rarely get to know their personal history, motivations, and philosophies that shaped their work.
This knowledge is invaluable to both current and future researchers, particularly within the porous media community. As the International Society for Porous Media, we are committed to preserving and sharing these insights.
The InterPore Time Capsule is a collection of interviews with some of the most eminent contemporary scientists in porous media. These individuals have played a pivotal role in advancing porous media science and technology. The interviews are conducted by one or two well-known scientists who have had a professional connection with the interviewee.
Nomination Process
Nominations can be submitted to: nomination@interpore.org and should include the following information:
- A nomination letter (maximum two pages) signed by four scientists
- The candidate’s CV (maximum ten pages)

Nominations are encouraged for exceptional individuals from all branches of porous media science and technology. At least two nominators must be InterPore members, but the nominee does not need to be a member.
