About Saudi Arabia InterPore
The Saudi Arabia InterPore Chapter was founded in May 2020. It aims to advance and disseminate knowledge for understanding, describing, and modeling natural and industrial porous media systems by promoting porous media research and collaboration among scientists and engineers inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The chapter holds an annual meeting every year, where scientists and engineers gather to present and discuss topics related to pore-scale modeling, numerical algorithms for modeling porous media multiphysics processes, reservoir geomechanics, and uncertainty quantification.
In 2025, the Saudi InterPore Chapter joined IGS (International Geomechanics Symposium) as a partner society to further expand its representation both locally and internationally.
