InterPore is pleased to announce that Maryam Batool has been appointed as the new Chair of the InterPore Social Media Team.

Maryam is a Senior Research Affiliate at Amity University Dubai and a researcher at the University of Sahiwal. Her research focuses on environmental remediation, complemented by a strong dedication to science communication and community engagement.

She has received several recognitions for her work, including the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry YCC Travel Award and the Sustainable Future Travel Grant. In addition, she serves as an Associate of the ACS Society Committee on Membership Affairs (2026). Maryam is also the founder of the Young Researchers YouTube platform, through which she actively promotes knowledge sharing and supports early-career scientists.

In her new role, Maryam will lead the InterPore Social Media Team with the aim of strengthening communication, increasing visibility, and fostering collaboration across the porous media community.
