InterPore Announces Two Additional Recipients of the Inaugural Invited Student Paper Award
InterPore is pleased to announce two more recipients of the InterPore Journal Invited Student Paper Award, recognizing outstanding student contributions presented at the InterPore 2024 Annual Meeting and subsequently developed into high-quality, peer-reviewed publications.
Earlier this year, three inaugural winners were announced. We now celebrate the selection of two additional awardees:
- Zhilei Han, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), for his paper "A novel optimization framework based on surrogate modeling for underground hydrogen storage in depleted natural gas reservoirs" which will be published in the next issue of InterPoreJournal.
- Yanying Chen, School of Civil and Resource Engineering, University of Science and Technology, Beijing, China, for their paper "Modeling of Hydraulic Fracture Propogation in Real Heterogeneous Conglomerates from Mahu Oilfield Using the Global Cohesive Zone Method" which will be published in the last issue of 2025.
Both papers demonstrate innovative modeling approaches and scientific rigor that align with the mission of InterPore Journal to showcase cutting-edge porous media research.
The award highlights outstanding student presentations that have been successfully developed into full-length publications. In total, nine students were invited to submit based on their 2024 conference presentations. With these two additions, five recipients have now been honored.
The remaining invited submission is still under review, and will be announced upon acceptance. 🎉 Congratulations once again to all current recipients! We are proud to support and share your exceptional work with the global porous media community.
