InterPore Newsletter 2020 (24) featuring Final days to vote

Sent on: 19-07-2025

Dear InterPore friends,

Last chance to vote, as the polls close at 30 November. Why voting? Well, for example our current president
Laura Pyrak-Nolte represented us, the porous media community, at the very large University Alliance of the
Silk Route events, as you can read below. You can choose which of the two capable candidates will do that in a
few years from now.

Dear InterPore friends,

It’s InterPore Election time! Voting is made very easy, but choosing candidates is hard. Of course,
it is a
luxury problem, having to choose between all these wonderful people who are willing to invest time
in our
InterPore community. Happy voting everybody!

InterPore News 2020 (20) featuring InterPore Award nominees deadline coming up

Sent on: 19-07-2025

Dear InterPore friends,

Just in case you’re into special numbers: Today’s issue is number 20 in the year 2020. It may not
mean a lot, but if you miss it, it won’t happen again.

Something that does bear some meaning is being awarded with one of the
prestigious InterPore awards. It is still possible to nominate candidates for this. Please
consider your colleagues and realize that this can be a major boost for their career or a
well-deserved acknowledgement for a life-long contribution to porous media science.

Take care,

InterPore News 2020 (16) featuring our new website and ISC membership

Sent on: 19-07-2025

Dear InterPore friends,

The summer in The Netherlands is very warm these weeks. I am fortunate to spend a little bit of time close to the beach (and on it, of course!). It does give a sense of tranquility. Meanwhile, InterPore is also coming forward with two refreshing news items: Our new website is launched and we have become member of the ISC.

InterPore News 2020 (15) featuring the InterPore2020 block program

Sent on: 19-07-2025

Dear InterPore friends,

Only a few weeks left before InterPore2020 starts! Exciting for everyone and perhaps a little bit nerve-wracking for those running the show from behind the curtains! Meanwhile, the block program has become available, and you (if you are a presenter) will soon be notified of the time and date of your Q&A session.

Moreover, we asked invited speakers to create graphical abstracts representing their talks. Please have a look! It is fascinating to see the scope of “Porous Media Research”.
