PORE 2-2: Imaging porous media across scales: Methods, Data Processing, and Analysis
Join us for an exciting new course on imaging porous media across scales, led by Catherine Spurin (Stanford University, USA), Maja Rücker (Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands), and Benzhong (Robin) Zhao (McMaster University, Canada).
- There are many different ways to image porous media across different scales, ranging from the nanoscale to the cm-scale. Imaging techniques will include lab-based X-ray, synchrotron imaging, microscopy (light and laser), SEM, AFM, and nano-tomography.
- Discuss which technique is best, depending on application.
- Teach students how to perform image analysis AND understand the limitations that exist when there is no ground truth data.
Course Dates & Time:
- Monday, November 2 (9:00 - 12:00 PST / 18:00 - 21:00 CET)
