Webinar on "How Inert Phases and Active Matter Shape Mixing and Reactions in Porous Media"
Join us on Tuesday, April 21st at 16:00 CEST for an exciting talk on how inert phases and active matter shape mixing and reactions in porous media.
Professor Jimenez-Martinez is leading the Subsurface Environmental Processes group at Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology) and at the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on the study of transport, chemical reaction phenomena, and microbial behavior in porous and fractured media, particularly in multiphase systems. He tackles these problems mainly by experiments performed over scales ranging from micromodels to field scale, and blending them with theory and modeling.
