Mathias Kreutz Erdtmann is a Brazilian subsurface engineer working at Petrobras for over 17 years. During the first 14 years, he worked on oil and gas assets, as a reservoir engineer of pre-salt heterogeneous carbonates and manager of a team of up to 20 geoscientists and engineers. The last three years he dedicated himself to CCUS projects, at first for EOR, then for carbon storage, being responsible for the engineering evaluation of the best screened opportunity for storage offshore Brazil, in a giant saline aquifer. While still being a staff of Petrobras, he is currently also a PhD candidate at TU Delft on CCS.
