Maryam Batool is a Gold Medalist researcher, environmental chemist, scientific leader, and science communicator specializing in environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, polymer nanocomposites, and sustainable materials. She holds an MS in Chemistry and currently serves as a Senior Research Affiliate at Amity University Dubai, contributing to international research collaborations and scientific publications.
She serves as Chair of the Social Media Team for the International Society for Porous Media (InterPore), Official Social Media Representative for the ACS Division of Industrial & Engineering Chemistry, and an Associate of the ACS Society Committee on Membership Affairs.
Maryam has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and completed over 500 peer reviews, alongside serving on several early-career editorial boards. Her contributions have been recognized through multiple distinctions, including ACS grants and awards and Elsevier’s Excellence in Reviewing recognition.
Beyond research, she is the founder of the Young Researchers educational platform and contributes to scientific mentoring, outreach, and professional development. She also contributed internationally as a scientific judge, proposal reviewer, invited speaker, and committee member.
