
Lei Zhang

Lei Zhang received his PhD in Oil and Gas Field Development Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2015. His research focuses on digital core construction, microscopic flow simulation of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, and underground carbon and hydrogen storage.
Dr. Zhang has contributed to over 20 key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, and industry collaborations. He has published more than 70 journal articles and holds five patents and four software copyrights. His research achievements have been recognized with multiple awards, including a first prize from the Shandong Province Science and Technology Progress Award and three additional provincial and ministerial honors.
In 2020, Dr. Zhang served as co-chair of the InterPore Annual Meeting and was awarded the prestigious InterPore Rosette Award.
