About Maghreb Interpore
The Maghreb InterPore Chapter (MIC) serves as the regional platform of the International Society for Porous Media across Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, and Libya. Aiming to connect experts in the porous media field, the Chapter fosters scientific exchange and collaboration on key issues in environmental science, energy applications, and materials engineering.
Through international conferences, workshops, and training courses, MIC promotes knowledge transfer, strengthens research capacity, and bridges academia and industry to address regional challenges related to porous media.
The Executive Office of InterPore officially approved the establishment of the Maghreb Chapter during its meeting on December 17, 2024. The 1st International Conference of the Maghreb InterPore Chapter (ICMIC 01), held from April 14 to 16, 2025, in Monastir, Tunisia, marked the official kick-off meeting of the Chapter.
