InterPore2024 Focus Theme

Image removed.

The Focus Theme of InterPore2024 will be “porous media and biology.” This includes occurrence and applications of biology in living organs, plants, and in medicine, as well as in soil, oil and gas reservoirs. It will include theories and (bio)physics, experiments, imaging, mathematics, and modelling.

Donate for InterPore Grants

Image removed.

Each year, InterPore Foundation provides grants for scientists and students from countries with economic difficulties.

These grants allow students and scientists, who would not otherwise be able to attend InterPore2024, to gain experience and exposure and build their scientific network.

The number of grants we can provide is dependent on the generous support of people like you!

Help InterPore Foundation enable the participation of your fellow researchers to our Qingdao conference.

Title: Nanosized Zeolites with Exceptional Adsorption Properties

Svetlana Mintova is the Director of Research (DR1) at CNRS, LCS-ENSICAEN-Normandy University and Head of the Centre for Zeolites and Nanoporous Materials. The focus of her research is in the fields of porous materials and physical chemistry with expertise in the synthesis of zeolites, advanced characterizations and their applications in catalysis, separation, chemical sensors, membranes and biomedicine.

Abstract: The transition of the global energy system from traditional fossil fuels to renewable and sustainable energy sources and processes necessitates the development of new materials and the reinvention of existing ones. Zeolites will play a key role in facilitating this transition due to their exceptional qualities, which make them valuable in essential catalytic and adsorption processes, such as carbon capture and storage.

In this presentation, I will discuss the synthesis of nanosized zeolites with various sizes, morphologies, and framework structures by tailoring the crystallization process. The diffusion properties of the nanosized zeolites were studied through breakthrough curve analysis, revealing exceptionally sharp curves indicative of rapid diffusion due to the… continue reading

InterPore is proud to announce the Gold Sponsorship & exhibition of TESCAN at InterPore2024. Many thanks for their continued support! Make sure to visit their booth in Qingdao!

Do you know of a company which you would like to see sponsor or exhibit at InterPore2024? Let us know! Perhaps it’s a company you regularly work with, an organization you’d like to work with, or maybe one you work for! We’d love to hear your ideas. Email us with the organization name and contact information.

And now… Qingdao!

InterPore2024 will be in Qingdao. Described as a city of “red tiles, green trees, blue sky, and blue sea”, Qingdao has a lot of things to offer with respect to science, science history and porous media. This week: May Fourth Square

Image removed.

If you’re looking for a place to walk around and relax during the conference, why not visit May Fourth Square? Located in the Shinan District, the square is one of Qingdao’s iconic attractions. Built to commemorate the May Fourth Movement, May Fourth Square is of great historical and cultural significance and integrates culture, art, leisure and entertainment. There is a wide lawn in the square. The sculpture with the main theme of “May Wind” stands in the square, representing a spiral rising wind with fiery red color, manifesting the rising national strength.

May Fourth Square often hosts a variety of cultural events and performances, such as concerts, dance performances and so on. In the square, you can gain a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture and art, and feel the enthusiasm and vitality of local residents. You can also enjoy the spectacular sea view and city scenery, and feel Qingdao’s unique maritime culture and urban development history.
