Dear InterPore Friends,
Today’s InterPore2022 Bulletin has some important information about the measures against the spread of COVID-19 in Abu Dhabi. Those traveling to Abu Dhabi should follow the official instructions. You’ll find some helpful links below.
Furthermore, we share instructions on how to do “ridesharing” through Whova, catch the last remaining seats on a lab tour, sign up for the short course(s), and invite you to read about our important sponsors and Abu Dhabi spotlights.
All the best,
Matthijs de Winter

As of 26 February 2022, a COVID-19 test is no longer required to enter Abu Dhabi, provided that you are fully vaccinated.
If you are not fully vaccinated, you must present a negative PCR test result, taken within 48 hours, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate. Your recovery certificate must be dated within 30 days of departure and have a QR code. Children under 12 are exempt.
In-person participants of InterPore2022 will need a Green Pass on the Alhosn app for access to public places such as the conference hotel, Khalifa University, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed Mosque, and the gala dinner at Erth Abu Dhabi.
There is a testing facility at the airport for any visitors wishing to take a PCR test to activate their Green Pass in the Alhosn app and facilitate access to Abu Dhabi’s public places and tourist attractions. The cost of this PCR test is AED 40. There is no need to re-test whilst in Abu Dhabi.
How do I install the Alhosn app as an international visitor?

As if we haven’t already presented you with enough to interest you in Abu Dhabi, the city of Dubai lies just over an hour to its north. Home to famous architectural landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building at almost 830m tall and surrounded by an 11 hectare park, and Burj Al Arab, the iconic sailboat hotel on Jumeirah Beach, Dubai was also the site of the 2020 World Fair. Day trips from Abu Dhabi can be arranged through multiple tour operators, or use the aforementioned Whova’s ridesharing boards to carpool via taxi to see the sights.
