Hamed is a distinguished Chemical Process Engineer, having obtained his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees with Cum Laude honors. His research interests lie in the area of renewable energies, which he began exploring in 2008 when he joined the Niroo Research Institute. During his time there, he was involved in various solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and hydrogen projects, focusing on the latter. He has extensive hands-on experience working with fuel cells and electrolyzers. Additionally, he has utilized computational modeling to simulate the performance of electrochemical systems. During his Ph.D., he delved into the intricate details of fluid flow in porous media, acquiring a broad knowledge of multi-scale, multi-phase fluid flow modeling tools. He also employed machine learning to facilitate fluid flow simulation cases.
Currently, Hamed is an Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, where he is a key player in hydrogen production, storage, and use. He leads several projects focused on Green Hydrogen production and use. His research profile demonstrates his commitment to advancing the field of renewable energies and sustainability through cutting-edge research and collaboration.
