The Executive Committee is excited to announce that InterPore is now taking applications from institutions to host a lecture by Prof. Behnam Pourdeyhimi, winner of the inaugural Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Lecturer Award.

Prof. Pourdeyhimi’s research interests are in the area of nonwovens, responsive fibrous systems, filtration, computational modeling, materials, failure mechanisms, software algorithms, optics and image analysis. He has published widely (over 250 publications and over 300 presentations), and holds more than 80 patents (US and international filings). His lecture will focus on modern applications, novel characteristics, and the design and manufacture of nonwoven materials.

Many of us are unfamiliar with this type of porous structure, and Professor Pourdeyhimi’s talk provides a unique opportunity to learn about this most fascinating topic.
