The West Africa InterPore Chapter (WAIC) is planning its second Symposium in hybrid format from July 27 – 28, 2024. This symposium aims to address the pressing challenges associated with clay applications, mining activities in Africa, particularly the critical issue of mining waste management.

Founded in October 2022 by researchers from Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal, the West African InterPore Chapter aims to connect West African scientists, engineers, and lecturers working in the field of porous media with each other, the industry and with the InterPore community.
