InterPore Award for Porous Media Research
The InterPore Award for Porous Media Research (formerly the Procter & Gamble Award for Thin and Swelling Porous Media Research) is given to mid-career researchers in recognition of outstanding research in general porous media, with emphasis on research conducted over the past 5 years. More information on the new selection criteria for the 2024/2025 awards cycle can be found here. The nominees should have a maximum of 12 years research experience after completing their PhD.
This award will be given to only one individual per year. It consists of an award certificate, a travel grant of €1,000 for participation in the next InterPore Conference, and InterPore rosette.
Nomination packages should include:
- a nomination letter (maximum length two pages) describing specific contributions of the nominee to porous media research during the last 10 years (not counting the current year). The nomination letter should end with a citation statement; an example: “this nominee has made outstanding contributions to the physics of transport in porous media in several fields, such as non-newtonian fluid flow, drying and imbibition, colloidal transport, mass transfer in wood, and the use of NMR for imaging,”
- up to three supporting letters (maximum length two pages),
- a list of 5 publications of the nominee from the last 5 years that stand out, including references with DOI or URL links.
- a two-page CV of the nominee and a full publication list.
Nomination packages should be submitted to nomination@interpore.org. Deadline for submission of complete nomination package: November 15th of each year.
Nominee and nominator must be members of InterPore. This is not required of those who write letters of support.
