InterPore 2019: Survey results

Over 200 participants of InterPore2019 responded to our post-conference survey on the evaluation of this year’s meeting in Valencia. The majority were very positive about the technical program, poster sessions, organization, and scientific interactions. Based on feedback provided last year after the meeting in New Orleans, the scientific program was formed around 20 invited mini-symposia. This appeared to be a successful formula as 86% of you were satisfied with the sessions. Suggested improvements (e.g. additional time between the sessions, adding abstracts to Whova) will be looked into.

Also, poster sessions were highly rated. While only 63% said they would attend future conferences if only allotted a poster presentation, 79% rated the poster presentations as good to very good. The majority of comments we received on the poster presentations indicated that posters allowed for deeper discussions, the central location and provision of refreshments helped draw crowds, and that they were a valuable part of the InterPore conference. Around 99% of the respondents said they would recommend the InterPore conference to other colleagues and over 62% are already planning to come to InterPore2020 in Qingdao.

We sincerely thank all of you who took the time to provide us with feedback and look forward to implementing continual improvements at InterPore2020 in Qingdao! We’d love to hear from you if you have any other comments and suggestions.
