InterPore2020: Qingdao’s visa-free policy

Are you interested in attending Inter Pore 2020 in Qingdao but worried about the added time and expense needed to obtain a visa for your visit? Are you aware that Qingdao now offers a 144-hour visa-free transit policy for travelers from 53 countries? That’s right! For citizens of these countries, no visa is required as long as you:

  • Stay within the administration area of Shandong province for no longer than 144 hours
  • Leave China via Qingdao airport to another country. This country must not be the same one from which you enter Qingdao.

For example, on the way to China (or on the way back home) a stopover could be made in Seoul. This stopover usually does not have a big effect on travel costs and is often times more or less the same price as a direct flight.

For those of you who do not qualify for 144-hour visa-free transit or wish to extend your stay in China, we are looking into an agency able to provide both travel and visa arrangements. More details will be provided on that soon.
