Many of our products manage various liquids and interact with skin and surfaces. The core function of the products is enabled by highly engineered porous media, whether it is to pick up or dispense liquid, or sometimes even prevent liquid absorption. These porous media tend to be thin and change considerably during liquid absorption, and both of these elements pose significant challenges – and opportunities – to understand, design and build top-performing materials. Sustainability is at the heart of our research strategy, and we look for specific materials, compositions and manufacturing methods that minimize our environmental footprint. The above inform our research agenda. For more information visit our website. Platinum Sponsor for InterPore2023

This Summer – The InterPore Journal
First things first – after years of pondering it, InterPore has now decided to move forward and start their own scientific journal. The name of this journal will be “InterPore Journal” and our goal is to become the main destination for publishing high-quality research on a wide range of multidisciplinary multiscale topics related to porous media science and technology. We hope that this journal will become a focal point for all porous media scientists and engineers worldwide – where members and nonmembers can share their findings and questions. The Journal will be an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal, entirely published and owned by InterPore. We are planning on a wide range of articles, which include but are not limited to the following: Original Research Papers, Technical Notes, Review Articles, Open Datasets and Source Codes, Letters to the Editor, Commentaries, Short Communications, and Opinion pieces. The Editor-in-Chief of this journal is Nima Shokri, whom many of you may already know. Our Board of Editors will be composed of the following people: Ryan T. Armstrong, Branko Bijeljic, Rien van Genuchten, Rainer Helmig, Patrick Huber, Signe Kjelstrup, Dani Or, Shuyo Sun, and Dorthe Wildenschild. In addition, we will also have a Committee on Publication Ethics who will also be members of the Journal’s Editorial Board. These members are: Sahar Bakhshian, Ran Holtzman, Helge Hellevang and Philippe Coussot. I am sure that you will also hear about this journal at the upcoming InterPore Conference in Edinburgh and I, too, aim to keep you regularly updated. In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding this journal or want to know how to submit your work, you can contact me at Laura.Lenz@InterPore.org.
