Formation of the Hellenic InterPore National Chapter (HINC).
The Hellenic InterPore National Chapter (HINC) has been formed on Feb. 2019. Scope is to cooperate and coordinate with other National Chapters and the InterPore parent organization towards enhancing knowledge exchange and R&D synergies; to interact with industry on a local and international basis; to attract young researchers from local academic and research institutions as well as scientists and engineers from the domestic and international industry.
Kick-off Meeting of the HINC
The Kick-off Meeting of the HINC has been initially targeted for some time just before InterPore2020 in May, in parallel to the biannual Panhellenic Symposium on Porous Materials (PSPM2020). Yet, due to the COVID-19 measures meetings were postponed.
Recouping from the pandemic restrictions, the HINC kick-off meeting and one-day conference will be hosted by the 13th Panhellenic Scientific Symposium in Chemical Engineering 2022.
PSCCE will take place at the University of Patras, June 2-4, 2022 (https://pesxm13.chemeng.upatras.gr/).
Our aim is to outreach the local scientific and industry community and expand HINC’s network within the local ecosystem of porous media and related applications. PSCCE is an excellent environment as it brings together scientists and engineers from the physical /chemical /industrial and material process disciplines, with activities spanning over a broad spectrum of applications.
HINC will have an entire day that will be split on a morning, dedicated special session “Processes in Porous Materials” then followed by an afternoon session for open “to-know-us-better” meetings; the day will conclude with the election of the Steering Committee. The program is still tentative, there will be updates in due course.
The goal will be to attract a critical mass of members and followers and, hopefully, industry stakeholders.
