Third Biennial Meeting of Australian Chapter of Interpore

After two highly successful conferences in Sydney in 2016 and Melbourne in 2018, this third conference shall continue to advance the dissemination of knowledge and to foster collaboration among porous medium researchers. The conference is organised by the Australian Chapter of Interpore under the umbrella of the International Society for Porous Media.

Themes

Contributions on all aspects of porous medium research are explicitly welcome. On this occasion, we would specifically like to invite contributions towards (but not limited to):

On this occasion, we would specifically like to invite contributions towards:

• Pore-scale imaging, digital porous media and emergent macroscopic properties
• Wettability characterisation and alteration
• Thermo-hydro-chemo-mechanical processes
• Reactive transport modelling
• Geophysical imaging and monitoring of reservoirs, fluids and seals
• Woven and non-woven filters and membranes
• Battery modelling with particular focus on electrolyte and electrode interactions
• Fuel cell modelling and simulation with insights into physical processes in polymer electrolyte fuel cells

Some of the applications include Enhanced Oil Recovery, geological carbon sequestration, energy storage, groundwater storage and monitoring, wastewater treatment, desalinization, site mine remediation, etc.

31 January: Abstract submission dues (oral and poster contributions are welcome)
31 January: Early-bird registration opening
1 March: Notification of abstract acceptance
10 March: Early-bird registration deadline
10 April: Regular registration deadline
2 May: Evening icebreaker in Perth
3-5 May: Conference in Perth
